Come to our Open Day at Foster Road allotments, Trumpington, Cambridge, England. It will be our third, following successful events in 2003 and 2005. There's no admission charge and we aim to make it fun for all the family as well as giving you opportunity to explore this vibrant allotment site.

There will be a best plot compeition for plot holders so we hope the site will look pretty good on the day. There will also be activities which you can get involved in and refreshments on sale.

Scarecrow competition

Prizes for scary and/or artistic scarecrows. Build your scarecrow on the day or bring him/her/it along.

Dress a scarecrow against the clock!

Lovely fresh vegetables and fruit direct from our plots

Young people of all ages can explore the site following an exciting trail

Bargains for your garden. We would be happy to accept suitable donations: tools, excess (in date) seed, and so on.

WEATHER LATEST: looking out at heavy rain, and crossing my fingers as I type, I see the latest forecast for Saturday has improved considerably - perhaps we'll be lucky for this year's open day!
